Valve COver Studs??
i have a 96 Lude Vtec and the valve cover studs are striped and honda wants to charge me 114.00 for the studs,bolts,groumets........i had a friend tell me i can get the studs off an Integra but idk what yr or how to take the studs off can anyone help?
i believe its a 10mm. You just need either a deep socket or open wrench. Remove the valve cover and they are right there. You should see what im saying once u get it off. Very easy.
114 bucks is really exspensive for that unless they are doing the labor them selves. I remember replacing 1 stud on my last lude, it was F series motor but 1 stud was like 14 bucks. Try Majestichonda.com
They've been pretty fair to me so far.

well the stud and groumets are 8.05 each so u think 8 bolts x16 cus u need one groumet and one stud so 16 bucks for that....how do u remove the studs off the head? my friend told me to use to nuts and twist them the oppisite direction
You have 8 studs on your head? Well I have H23 right now and there is only 4. But anyway, what I did was break the stud off, and I had a long socket extention to go into the head and pull it out. Honda sold me the new stud with top nut for like 16 bucks. I cant seem to think of what a stud gromet is, cause on last motor this happened it was a F-series block and I didnt need a stud gromet Mabey its diffrent for the H22 but I wouldnt think so.
So yeah check majestic honda and get a long socket extention.
