so tell me this.. why do you need an aftermarket shifter box, aftermarket axles, hondata (unless you are gonna boost or something), aftermarket fuel rail, aftermarket fuel filter and bracket, aftermarket clutch lines, a pully kit??

why dont you remove the ac and power steering yourself.

why cant you install the header and intake?

no hondata no tune needed.

so with all that removed your looking at a lot less.

just curious as to why you need the aftermarket ****. i mean 100 bucks for a fuel filter? WTF

Seems fair what what is listed...however not all that is absolutely necessary, but will make it alot nicer. you get what you pay for.

Countless numbers of threads each day. Problem after problem *shakes head*. I refused to join in on them, but they were an eyesore

sounds like the OP needs to learn how to research his problems and think for himself instead of asking for everyone to do the work for him. if he has 12k stashed for this swap, then he should not have to be on here posting problem after problem cause he can pay for it to be fixed yes?

The whole deal looks very reasonable. I certainly wouldn't do it any cheaper.

You could save a few bucks if you cut corners, but why? Do it right the first time.

Or you could do it yourself and save on all the labor costs.

seems reasonable to me, especially considering that's basically a brand new motor being that it's out of an 08...deffinetely some stuff you could save money on from that list but considering the work involved that is pretty fair.

I thought there were issues with installing the brand new K-series (8th gens) into our cars. Something about DBW or something.

REALLY bad way to spend your bonus. Trust me. I've seen this so many times before. Guys from the DAFB would get their bonus and buy an Evo and then not be able to afford furniture even. Save the money or spend it one something more reliable at least.

Finally, someone mentioned the Drive By Wire problem present in swapping these K20s in the older cars.

EDIT: Man, don't waste your money on a K20. Hold onto it, begin to structure yourself a life, and enjoy the god-damn H22 that you spent so many freakin hours getting back into order.

Yeah, if the term Drive By Wire is foreign to you, I'd say don't get involved in it.

EDIT: No pun intended (foreign. {nevermind})

You'll be pissed if you waste it on a car you're probably not going to be into in a couple of years. Much less the possibility of a wreck or theft.

And he'd still be blowing it all on something he'd probably later regret.

Seriously, this is a bad idea.

Much less spending it on someone else's project which might have any array of issues.
