h23a w/ h22a head or type s head
hey guys, i need help on a project that i am going to do by myself. i have already tooken off the h23a head off of the h23a block.. i am planning to buy mahle pistons and rings to rebuild this block. now my questions is? for the head to be put back on it, should i go with the jdm type s or a regular h22a vtec head. i have heard the only difference about the 2 are the cams and the compression... so whatever i decided to go with. now my next thing is? will the head bolt on directly? or would i have to do some bolt displacement? please help me guys. i am already excited to do this.
What is it these days with people that tear apart $1000+ engines and then figure out what to do?
You ever heard of planning? You should read. Then read some more, then read again. Read all the engine links in our FAQ, search for anything else.
After that, buy a helms manual.
