Attaching bumper to rusted quarterpanel
The '94 GS-R that I just bought has the typical rusting wheel well. It happens to be rusted where the bumper cover attaches to the quarter panel by a plastic clip. Is there an easy fix to reattach the bumper cover? Hopefully the pictures help explain the issue.

my process isnt so simple but i:
knocked off all loose rust
cleaned it
painted it with por-15 (rust sealer)
fiberglassed
filler-ed
primered
painted (rattle can to protect from uv rays)
this was 6 months ago, bumper still holds up strong and it looks like i used a rattle can on it, no one will tell its fiberglass. but i did spend time shaping. i did a few layers of fiberglass. only con right now is the rattle can paint is begining to peel and the filler it chipping, but i dont care the fiberglass is strong and water resistant.

not perfect, doesnt look nice. does its purpose which is to seal the rust and hold up the bumper. i will re shape with new filler in the future.
note= my final sand was 180 grit.

Looks like it may be too late for that
