Integra Spoiler on a Civic EX?
Does anybody know if any Integra spoilers fit on a Civic Ex?? I'm needing to replace mine b/c the LED lights no longer work, they are burnt out., so I was wondering if anybody knew if they fit. I searched but I didn't find any info on it.
Or does anybody know how to replace the LED's in the spoiler? Thanks!

I could only imagine that if you remove the screws on the bottom of the spoiler that appear to be holding the LED bar on that the LED bar would come off. I know that's how it looks on my '98 EX coupe.
Replace the LEDs or the entire bar. Don't put an Integra spoiler on. It probably won't look right and might not be the right size to fit anyway.

i somehow ended up with an integra spoiler on me 93 ex and it fits fine just wraps around the trnk a lil bit more and is a lil bit taller. i did have to make some new base plates for it to fit better though.

I'd suspect that most would need some sort of modification to make it fit as well as stock.</TD></TR></TABLE>
thats what i had to do... the base is about 1/8 of and inch wider but still fits the stock civic hole with a custom mounting plate.

You have to admit that replacing the entire spoiler because the LEDs burnt out seems a little overkill.
That's like replacing the entire taillight because a brake light burnt out.
Just replace the LED.

He could either replace the entire bar from one at a salvage yard / eBay or he could go buy new LEDs even.

The problem I came across though, is that I couldn't figure out how to replace the LED bar. There are no screws in it holding it in, is it a snap in bar or what? Thats why I thought you had to replace the whole spoiler.

What year is your car? We can't tell you guessing on if it's a '92-'95 EX, a '96-'98 EX (which I know have screws) or a '99-'00 EX (which if I recall from my "Si" spoiler, also has screws).
And OF COURSE you don't need to replace the entire spoiler when the LEDs burn out. Honda's smarter than that! You're just not seeing how to get to them. Are you sure the LEDs are even burnt out? Make sure that the spoiler is plugged in. Do you have a third brake light in the rear window? Does it light?

Heh sorry I should have specified... its a 98 EX... and yes the LED's are burnt out... the third brake light lights up, and it is plugged in... Are you sure there are screws? I searched high and low and couldn't find any.

Both the third brake light in the window and the third brake light LED bar will not light at the same time.
Go pop your trunk and crawl into it upside down. Near the trunk light you will see a little hole with a black plug in it. Unplug it and plug in your spoiler instead.
Your LED bar isn't for sure burnt out. You just don't have it plugged in.
There is only one place to plug your third brake light into. You have to choose if you want the LED bar on the spoiler or the third brake light in the window to light up.

And yes, I'm sure there are screws.

And here is the plug I'm talking about. The one in the middle is the bulb to the third brake light inside th car. You need to unplug that and plug in the spoiler piece instead so the spoiler lights instead of the light in the car.
I've done this before while messing with the car.

Ah you see that is where we are differing... my brake light IS burnt out, I know this due to the fact that it was spliced in, so that it WOULD light up with the rest of the brake lights and now it n longer lights up, and I'm 99% sure those screws are not there on my spoiler... but I will be sure to double check this weekend.

Why would you want or need two third brake lights? From behind, the lights overlap.
That's a stock Honda spoiler for a '96-'98 coupe. If yours has that, then you have screws.

2 third brake lights is rediculous... almost ricer. take it out of your back window and use the spoiler light as the third and use the wires from the window light to power the spoilers light... thats what i did and its clean.

Like I said, that's how it is stock.
There is one place to plug in a third brake light. From the factory the window third brake light would be plugged in. If the optional spoiler is added, the spoiler light is plugged in instead.
It's clean because it's OEM.

I would say it's a loose connection. Even though they're chinese led's, nobody should be on the brakes long enough to burn one out. Also an interesting fact, it's impossible to build an abs plastic/fiberglass spoiler with a built in 39 cent light. It just doesn't happen.
Wait, I could have sworn the third brake light in my window along with the one in the spoiler Came on at the same time?
I remember having a friend step on the brakes and bothing coming on. My car was completly stock when i got it.
EDit: i just went outside to try it, (4am) and both the Brake light in the window and the LED bar come on at the same time. Im gonna look at the wiring tomorrow. But could it have come from honda like that?
Like i said i bought the car stock from a older gentleman.
Edit: 98 DX

Well I went out and checked it out, and again no screws on the LED. When i bought the car from my buddy thats how it came with the two brake lights lighting up, and I highly doubt he would wire it like that b/c he is not into cars that way.
Here are a few pictures of my spoiler.

as you can tell no screws... and if you look some of the LED's are broken... and yes none of them work when the brake is pushed, and no its not b/c its not wired up b/c it is I double and tripled checked last night.
