Official Noob question but what is the oem exhaust diameter? 2.25, 2.36?

Stock piping is 60mm which is about 2.36" ...

 

Is that inside or outside diameter?

I assume when they say the size, they are talking about inside diameter...
When I went to the muffler shop, they put a die on the piping and measured it to be 60mm...
