I have a 89 civic std with a D16Z6. It weighed 1815 lbs with fully gutted interior the only thing that was left was the dash and race seat. I had hx rims on and a bullfrog hood. I can't believe you car was lighter, with more in it. The 88 models are 100 lbs more stock then any of the same models that came in 89.

 

my 1990 civic si(stock d16a6) weighed 1080kgs w/me in it. i think thats around;

2376lbs
180lbs me

so my cars like 2196 w/full interior(no spare tire/16"wheels)... she's a heavy bitch compared to you guys. gotta get the weight down.

 

My 91 STD weighed 2220 lbs before I got my 17" rims. That's without me, but with about 100 lbs of subs and amp. I'm gonna go soon to weigh it with the rims.

A guy that I auto-x with told me the number one weight reduction is yourself. I weigh 215 he weighs 125. He has a 90 lb advantage over me. Big Advantage!!

 

2390 lbs WITHOUT me in it...2 8-inch subs and box, amp, full interior, jack, spare, 1/2 tank of gas...maybe i shoulda weighed it with 1/4 tank of gas?

i just found a weight station at a concrete place... went in and asked the young lady if i could weigh my car quickly... she looked confused, but anyway i drove on quickly before any trucks came. she told me my cars weight and asked if i wanted to sell her my car, haha. yah, but any weight station will do, just ask b4 you pull on it

damn if you 88 std weighs roughly 1800 gutted mine must weigh like 1500 without me in it.I have an 89 dx gutted with plexi windows in the rear an no bumper supports as well as the rear hatch was gutted.

 

i weigh like 120-125 hell yeah i love bein lite

Yeah there is a landfill near my house and if you drive right in the entrance there are 2 truck weighing things, I guess so they can figure out how much garbage is coming in and out. And all you have to do is drive up there, it works 24/7.

My car weighs about 2100 without me in it. After I get my Rotas and strip out some stuff in the back I hope to get it below 2000.

 

theres a concrete place that has their scale on all the time. go there after hours drive on scale and look at building, displays weight.
what has been thrown away:
rear seats
all plastic crap in hatch
head liner
passengar seat
seatbelts aside from drivers
tar
carpet
spare tire
jack

i'll post pics of it tonight mabey
biggest weight reduction is the driver

oh i got weighed w/ stock steelies, hood, glass, door panels, bumpers hatch lid etc

 

my bass tubes are light their like 6.5 or 8 inch. they prolly weight 8 pounds each got them for free from my cousin in laws truck when he sold it. my amp is a $20 pyramid 240watt thing. basicly it just sounds like a semi decent home stereo in there.

my seat is a heavy ******, heavier than stock, 93 accord identical to the 90-93 tegs

Come on now... How much does the spare tire weigh? Is it worth takin it out and not havin it if you need it? And what about the gas? How much does, say, 1/2 a tank weigh?

 

every little bit of weight counts in import cars because our cars have no trq and the little bit of weight makes up for all the trq we lack

 

my 91 CRX Si weighed in at 2130lbs with half a tank and the B16A swap.

no spare, no rear hatch cover, and no rear carpet.
