Replacing basically front suspension... LOL
I have a 95 Accord Ex, I need to replace the upper and lower balljoints, outer tie rods and axle shafts. I wondering since my upper balljoints are non- servicable, is it real hard to take the upper control arms off? And I looked at alldata, they said I needed some tool to remove the lower ball joints. Do really have to use that tool and is it a dealer tool? Any help is very appreciated!
the lower ball joint can be knocked out with a vice, a big socket, and a bigger hammer. Putting the new one back in is where you really need the tool. If you were crafty, you could probably modify a C-clamp to do the job.
You can rent the tool for free from autozone. It was a $99 deposit, and I got it back when I returned it a few days later.
