Default Looking for a place to start

I just bought a 2000 Prelude with 93000 miles on it. The car is in great condition other than a minor oil leak in the cam seal along with one in the valve cover gasket. I also figure that I should service the timing belt (which will take care of the vavle cover gasket). The car is currently my daily driver but I will get a new car in a couple years and turn this into a long term project. I'm thinking that I'll really turn this into something special and I'm looking for a place to begin. The car is a completely stock non SH manual and I'm assuming it has the h22a engine. (The car will be delivered Friday and then I'll know for sure) Any advice will be much appreciated.

You can start by making sure that the engine has had a decant tune up.

Make sure that you have an idea of when the oil changes have done, or if the previous owner made logs of every thing that has been done to the vehicle in the past, with him/her or the previous owners.

Once you purchase the car, make sure that the distributor cap, roter, plugs and wires are in decent shape. And most important...get a service manual for your year/make/model.....Than go from there.

I'm sure that we'll be hearing from you soon.

Welcome aboard.

Be patient, and make sure you have a good source of funds to back anything up that may go wrong. Prelude part aren't cheap.

A lot of guys on here know there ****. And are willing to help if they can.

Just do a little searching, and you will find basic answers to your new found joy......The "Lude".

Take care,

think ahead, if you said you are going to keep this as a project later on and decide on FI, then dont waste your money on a cheap exhaust and a ebay header. reaserch and plan before you do or buy anything

welcome to the family
