Default $1000 difference

dealer still has a 2007 Civic EX coupe in the color I want. It will only be about a $1000 difference if I was to get a 2008. Should I get him to lower it more?

yes, try to lower it more.

have you called/emailed other dealerships around you to see if they have the same/similar car and how much they're selling for? have you told the dealer you're looking for this color? and have you considered the si?

if you haven't contacted a lot of local dealers around you for pricing and availability, then do it. i found this very useful when negotiating a price.

good luck!

LOL, the reason for getting the EX was to save money on gas and she wanted a automatic since it will be her daily driver. she commutes about 40 miles a day. Also we already have another civic to play with. anyways, we got them to go down a few more hundred. The thing is we only have one Honda dealer in town. The others are about 45 minutes away so we figured the time and hassle of going out of town may not be worth the extra few hundred.

for sure try to haggle some more bucks..if you just keep stating you'll sign papers now after the price is a bit tweeked to your likeing, he'll jsut go for it..im sure he wont be that hard to break down...my ocusin haggled for my civic with my parents and the associate jsut gave it to us for the price we asked for
