How do you decide between the 2?
Have any of you thought of trading your RSX-s for an Si? Why?

Why do looks have nothing to do with it? It is somewhat the same car minus a few suspension differences and the LSD in the Si.

And why do you need help making up your mind?

 

1: I prefer leather seating surfaces
2: The RSX is paid for
3: I hate the split level dash on the Civic

 

from experience. id choose the dc5 over the si anyday.

1. Better price because used
2. 02-04 can use k-pro without hassle(best mod)
3. More parts available for specific chassis and ecu

 

i would't trade my rsx-s for a 06 si. lsd on the si is quite nice though.

 

dc5 is kpo'able and si isnt yet

that's a good summary right there
i wouldn't trade my type-s for it though
but as a new purchase i would rather get an si only because its cheaper

Because I don't care. Both cars look nice and some facia doesn't make a car faster.
I need help making up my mind because I am sooooo OBD1 its not even funny.

Sorry, didn't realize you wanted a list from a tuning perspective. From that angle, 9bells pretty much ended the thread.

 

Now to decide on color, body kit, which 19" wheels, and underbody neon color!

Yes. I know other peoples thoughts shouldn't matter, but I like to represent myself as a more upper scale person. Yes I know Acura is by no means upper scale, but I hated saying yeah, I drive a civic. Now if I am talking to people I say Acura and it sounds a little more of an older persons car. I hated being associated with a Honda civic.

Interior of an si is just weird as hell and I don't like how it is laid out.

same chassis...

Ep3 though was a slow ugly piece of ****. I really was glad to get rid of that thing. It is though a step up from an em1 if you ask me. The interior was better and I liked having some usable tq.

Are you following me??? Just bought my RSX-S yesterday. personally I like to think I'm a little better than a civic at my age. The SI's are cool but A nice lookin little "S" with leather interior is just better. (But the SI feels faster I drove one before I bought my "S"...

 

i was thinking after i get done with typeS, of buying a nice base rsx and then swapping a k20a into it. It's only a thought right now, need to finish typeS first tho.

 

Going to be some sort of RSX......now its just trying to figure out whether to buy an older one and have a larger MOD budget or a newer one and keep it very simple.
How about just doing a TypeR trans on the TypeS?

Or you could get the 05-06 models which are closer to a type R with the cams and the gearing but no lsd.

 

same car basicaly. imo i liek the rsx better. the new si is nice but the rsx-s is a nicer car. i almost bought a nice blue one but my em2 love took over
