Any bulbs out there that look even close to HIDs?
Here is the deal. My bike has a H7 projector for the low beam and for the high beam it has an H4 bulb that is also activated with the low beam and the high beam.
I'm going to put an HID in the projector housing but I want a bulb that matches it for the lhalogen thats always running. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't care about light output just want the colors to match as close as possible....

That's going to be difficult, because HID bulbs run at different colour temperatures depending upon their age, brand, and rating. It will also be tough because a halogen bulb must be coated in order to achieve a similar colour, and in the end it's a lot of variables to try to match up. Have you considered just disabling the secondary low beam?

I would love to do that except I don't know how to. I searched on gixxer.com and found nothing.
It doesn't have to be a perfect match I just want to make it closer so its not such a large contrast.

I know bikes have to have the headlight on at all times while driving. So does yours have the projector and the H4 low beam on at all times? Or is the H4 low beam your running light and then you turn on the projector at night? If so then disabling the H4 low beam would be quite illegal.
As for color, you can probably just throw some cheap junk@$$ eBay blue bulb in there.
But no, there is no halogen bulb in existence that looks anywhere near true HID.

My bike is set up like this:
An H7 projector, and a normal housing above that with an H4 bulb
The projector is always on, and the housing above that is always lit up as well. When you hit the high beams the housing above with the H4 lights up for real and actually puts out a beam above where the projector cuts off.
Pretty much the projector is on while the housing above has a "city light" style going on.

ah I get it.
Regarding the HID, make sure you get an OEM HID ballasts and HID bulb, and then use an H7 adapter ring. Any idea what brand of projector is in there?
I know Valeo H7 projectors (used in Audis among others) takes very well to an HID bulb w/ adapter ring. It's one of the few if not only halogen projector that works well with HID.

Why don't you get a Hyper white style bulb for the daytime running light? Are you sure its the h7 bulb thats on as a drl? or is it an actual smaller bulb, like a 194?

He said he's looking for something to replace the high beam bulb, a dual filament H4 bulb in a reflector housing.
