Use a headgasket scraper from craftsman. Sears.com will have them in automotive page

no i dont have an ef anymore. im trying to sell it. its almost brand new. it has less than 500 miles on it. it looks like ****. im trying to get about 400 for the exhaust but no one is going to pay that when you can smell it burning when you come to a stop.

Run it until it's hot and then try wiping it off?

Did you not see what I wrote?

Let me rephrase it.

EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER

You can use it hot or cold.

I just had to do it to my pipes on my motorcycle.

i really dont think oven cleaner is going to work. i used a razor blade to scrape as much off as i could then let in burn off while driving around. worst month of my life. scrape most of it off then use a propane torch. that should do it.

Have you ever tried it? The answer is no you haven't. So keep your mouth shut until you attempt it.

Maybe you have a reading issue too.

let me rephrase

I had a bag melt on my CHROME Pipes on my motorcycle as I was going down the road, in order not to scratch the CHROME I used EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER. Motorcycle guys use oven cleaner a lot of get rubber, plastic, rain suits off of our pipes. So let see got it off of CHROME so I'm sure it will get it off of STAINLESS STEEL.

Ive used the easy off oven cleaner on my pipes also when I melted a plastic bag to my motorcycle...and also when my wife touched her boot to it, worked both times. We first used a brown pampered chef food scraper for dishes. I did NOT use any metal to scrape my precious chrome as that would permanently scratch the finish. I imagine it would do the same to a buddy club exhaust.
