well this is nothing new when you have a PY ITR which cant make it up your driveway to sleep safely at night, unless i go on trips then it goes in... with the aid of much much lumber ...

maybe one every 2 weeks or ever yweeek some ricer accord or hatchback comes in to my dead end street. parks next to or near my R checks it out. i wake up or am up and beep my alarm, to let them know that yes.... my room overlooks my car and yes.... ITR owners always are watching.
and they skuttle off.

but maybe half a dozen times or so now that i know of... this green GOLF mkIV with 4 guys in it comes into my dead end. and they just dont get the hint. sometimes i dont beep anything and just watch them with my lights off because im trying to sleep. and they just drive up park next to it and then look and then drive off.... but it keeps happening. kinda worrysome.

i was wondering what you ITR guys think i should do.
im not so much worried about my car getting stolen as i am vandalized or broken into. i leave my faceplate in
but my steering wheel out.
and 2 way alarm with starter kill no remote start 2 switches and a variety of plugs relays and sensors i randomly pick to switch remove etc....

i was thinking back my truck into the driveway so next time i see them if im up just follow them? wait for them to start breaking in and then call the police? call the police now?
buy a AR15?
get a lazer pointer and pretend i have an AR15? lock my pomeranian in my car at night?
sometimes i block in the R with my truck....

but tonight i was up pretty late because my girlfriend is trying to beat zelda for the Wii and she wouldnt give up so at like four thirty or so they come rolling in. our living room lights are off for wii visibility reasons, well they backed in next to my R and i was standing in front of the window. i guess one of them saw me because he pointed at me and nudged the driver. they quickly drove off all 3 passengers staring right at me.

this sucks yellow gets MEGA attention and i suppose my JDM front doesnt help
neither does living fifteen yards off a busy street...
what do you guys think? and if you have an option you dont want to post in a public forum IE personal tricks feel free to PM me. if i had better eye sight id get the lic.#.
oh yeah and its a 3 story townhouse so when im upstairs it takes me a second to get downstairs so there is little chance of running out and gettin em unless they actually decide to get out.. and try and get the R.

I would say definitely block your car in with your truck. Then just make sure you get the plate info and call the police. At the very least it's suspicious behavior that should be noted. Also, when they park next to you, are they on your property, or is it common parking? If it's your property you can have them trespassed by the police, so that if they do come back, the can or will be arrested.

 

get some friends and plan a stake out. wait til the show up and confront them or at least get a tag number so that is something does happen you have some info the cops could start with.

 

i would just wait outside one night and when they roll up walk out with a sawed off shotgun and say calmly "Excuse me, but can i help you guys with something?"

they'll keep coming back if they think there is a possibility of getting away with the car. maybe when they arrive, block them in to the dead end and call the police

 

I'd take the time to park it in the garage-every time. Its your energy and investment, I'd lock it up the best I could. If you can't, I'd always leave it blocked in.

 

Do something sadistic, put a couple dozen hypodermic syringes on the belly pan of your driver's seat, so when they sit down, they get an *** full of pain.

Then have a note in the floorboard: "You have aids, LOL."

Block the car in, and hope for the best.

I know there isn't much you can do to keep them from coming, but should it disappear and you are like "WTF i don't understand", we are all going to have a hard time feeling bad for you.

Most don't get the chances/warnings that you have. I would take the hints you have been given and either relocate or box that fugger in each night. If you don't the consequences will surely be waking up to it gone.

I really wouldn't count on your alarm waking you each time. YOU HAVE BEEN LUCKY THUS FAR. Change something up or it is going to disappear bro.

EDIT: If nothing else start taking video of pics of the cars visiting you! If it were me personally i would be running down there taking pics of plates and faces. Plan for the future event even if it doesn't happen

I agree that you can't/won't be awake every time they come. And of course, the time that they decide to take the car, you won't know it.


Why not get ahold of a cheap video camera? Set it up hidden, and then make sure it records EVERY night. If nothing else, you can get them in the act on video. That would work good, especially if you can get the car they are in, and plates on the video.

samething he said. I mean i drive an em1 and i get lazy when i get home late but you have to ask yourself you really think its worth being lazy one time to get you precious stolen. All whats happening now to you....you're one of the lucky one that still has his car still there after lots of looks but perpetrators. Park that thing in there and block it with the truck. Although i did have a friend get is car stolen after he parked his mother Van behind his car (chevy Rider). He invested like over 10k in that car. Block the R in and call it a night.
Next time you see those guys....******* scream out the window and point that laser-beam and scare the living **** out of them. Maybe shoot a out in the air dat way they don't come back. And do it for every one that tries to touch the R. THESE ******* NEED TO LEARN NOT TO TOUCH WHATS NOT THEIRS!!!.

Similar to UNSEEN's reply. My first choice would be to walk outside with a shotgun, stick it in their mouth and ask, "Do you really think it's worth it to steal my R?" But if you live in a blue state I guess you can't do that.

Worst comes to worst, and I can't get downstairs in time, I have two rather large windows facing the driveway, both without screens... If I see my car pull out of the garage, I have a nice shot straight down.

Not sure of the legalities, but I'd deal with it later.

 

get a paint ball gun and light their vehicle up. If you don't have any traffic late at night, you could sharpen some jacks and through them around in the street near your vehicle.

3. Build a garage
4. Sleep in it
5. Buy a wheel boot from Miti Co. (I have one, thanks cxSHOE)
6. Rent a storage place
7. Donate it to charity?

Also, pick up a shot gun. Nothing like the sound of a quick pump to send them scattering. Probably the last thing they want to hear in the middle of the night on a quiet street.

Go to the gun range... rent a gun... put a used target in the passenger seat with a note that reads i'm watching and I can reach you from my window.

Edit: As for eyesight...get a cheap pair of binoculars... they are only like $25 at your local sporting goods store. start writing tag numbers down. I'd be willing to bet most are friends or know one another and take turns driving different vehicles.

Just get a target, and a ink pin (Government issue perferably) to put some holes in it. Hard to tell the difference, and looks like a 5.56mm. Tape target to your door window. When they see it hit them with a laser pointer taped to a broom stick painted black.

The 2nd time those guys were back I would have ran out of the house with some form of weapon and maybe a camera to get a pic of their plates.

You're an easy target. Be fortunate you still have your car. They know you can't be awake 24/7.

 

u should call the police and let them know about it. 18 years ago **** like this was happening at my house. I was still a baby but i remeber during the day around lunch time everyday there would be a blue van that would sit infront of my house for a while. My mom called the cops a few times to chck them out. Cops always let it go.

Eventually our house got robbed on a sat night...they took literally everything.

I think my mom said they eventually caught the bastards

Almost the same **** happened to me but the thieves (4 guys) were able to pop my hood, luckly I came out in time but they all ran in their get-away car. If I were you, buy a shotgun with non-lethel rounds like bean bags or rubber bullets which all hurt like a ****... I can't wait for this situation to happen again ...I'm ready you f*ckin thieves!!
