Painting the engine bay.
ok. I will be painting my engine bay Frost white. So i was wondering what is the best way to do this? what i am thinking is, Wire wheel as much as I can, Use aircraft stripper to remove as much paint as possible, and sand whereever is needed after that for prepping.
Here is where i dont know what to do. I dont know if i should primer the bay bc i am thinking its pointless. With the wire wheel it will scuff up the metal and leave rough surface for the pain to stick to. Plus primer is dark, which will mean i have to use more white paint to get the colour i want. I will be using duplicolour import frost white paint. like 3 coats of it.
After that i want to coat it with some clear coat. maybe 2 coats.
Any tips, Suggestions on the primer thing?
Here is my last shot of my bay, everything now is removed except the fuel line, and the evap canister line. and BTW it looks cleaner then it is, or i maybe i just want it to be perfect.

just sand the engine bay with 320-400 grit , blow it out , mask everything and wipe it down with wax and grease remover. no need to use a wire wheel and aircraft stripper, you would make way more work for yourself.
ok well i already used these grease remover **** that cleaned it out pretty good. What does blow it out mean?
Plus i have a bunch of this yelloow **** that on every single bend and nook n cranny.

wax and grease remover is used as the final stage of prep before you paint to remove oils, greases, etc. not the grease from the motor or anything like that. you can buy it at an automotive paint store.
as for the yellow stuff that is probably seem sealer. hit that with some primer first before you start painting your engine bay or most likely that yellow color will eventually bleed through.
