I don't know if this is the right forum (probably not) but just for fun, I thought I'd share this story. Apparently the last person to work on the car before I bought it decided to trim a radiator hose clamp with sheet metal cutters. I was loosening exhaust manifold bolts, which as you all know is a "pull with all your might so you can't control where your arm goes when it suddenly breaks loose" kind of afair, and sure enough my elbow went straight for that hose clamp.



If my elbow had been any lower I'd have stitches right now.

ive got little scars on my hands galore, not worth posting now though.

i do have a sweet shaped one on the top of my hand from a jack stand. autozone FTW

 

all my fingernails have some sort of mishappening, few nicks and cuts. I always joke to my friends, I always shed blood when working on my 16 year old car LOL.

I work on cars all day every day so I have some haha. I was working on a 66 mustang pulling the trans. The ebrake cable used a huge spring with hooks on either end. I had it disconnected but still hanging from the underbody (stupid mistake) I moved the wrong way and it caught my neck. It was a QUICK sharp pain and I thought I got bit by a bug or something, I jerked away hooked through my neck and ripped out....
Doesn't look as deep as it actually was in the pic because of swelling.


I have lots of others but thats the one that stands out to me the most. Still have a nasty scar from it that people point out everyday almost.

Prying on my headunit with a brand new sharp as all hell pocket knife and the locking mechanism broke and the knife scissored on to my finger. To the bone, lost feeling for a few months and had 3 stitches.

i was driving lost control flew out the pass side window, broke the window with my head and the car rolled over me.....

cracked my right eye socket, broke my wrist, all five fingers on my right hand, removed 3 inchs of glass out of my elbow and ankle, broke all my ribs, collapsed both my lungs, had two 8 inch chest tubes put in on my sides to keep my lungs inflated, smashed my right kidney in half, removed 400ml of blood from me, had 32 stitches in my right kidney, had 14 in the left kidney, 8 in my bladder, crushed my spleen and had it removed, broke my left ankle, and lost my pulse for 15 mintues twice and still kickin a year later...pics..

 

my head came off in a rollover and they stapled it back on...
