to most of the model 00'+ Type-R Owners. A question.
It seems like most, or a lot of type-r owners are tune their cars.
Also, it seems to have lot of people invest alot of money onto it.
So im assuming that they could' afford any other cars they want
(Around the Type-r Class)
I just want to hear some of different reasons why 00'+ owners chose
ITR over S2000.
I'm not making any statements about which cars better than what ect.
just out of curiosity, i wanna hear some

I used to own spa yellow s2k.I like to drive around town with top down and fun cruise car. What i don't like about s2k is that it doesn't have enough room to maneuver, speaker suck ( can't hear **** while top down)!! in my opinion, i don't like it.Fun car, but that's about it.ITR over s2k anyday for me.
I am debating to replace my daily commuter after winter in next year. If I buy maybe new STI or even EVO in 4wd class (still can't stand Mitsu Product), the R will be still a garage queen in it's class of it's own and the more expensive daily commuter will be still treated as a beater!
I've driven S2K's alot, and I hate the road noise (top up, never driven one with a hard top) the interior is waaaay too small. I'm a fat guy, and I feel cramped. There is no backseat. The styling.
In my book, the DC2 chassis is one of the best LOOKING cars. The Honda added lip kit, and R wing only add to it for me. The interior is roomy, quiet (compared to S2K), and you can have passengers. Add that together with the fact that an ITR can easily run with or outrun the S2K, for me it's a no brainer.
You didn't put "Cause I like the way the integra looks better than the S2K" but if you did, that would have been my vote.

I chose both.....
I have been striving to do so for a while, and it finally came about......
to me, both are incredible machines in their own right.....
both are currently autox'd...... and hopefully both will see some track time soon.....
however, when it comes to Daily Driving, the ITR is hands down better for it......
between bicycles and surfboards the ITR is my pick-up truck....

you'd fit fine in an s2k..... without a seat

S2K are faster and can handle well. Convertible.
ITR is a classic, still ranked #1 I believe FF ever built and in top 10 for a while of best cars of all time if I remember correctly. Handles incredibly well stock and the engine can handle modifications better than S2K's.
Depends on what you want. You want raw fun, get the ITR.

Its more raw fun. I was actually in the maket for an AP2 till I found my R. I hopped on it imediately. Plus no matter what, its still a Type R and its still an S2000.

Exactly. The S2000 is a great car, but if I'm only going to have 1 car, the ITR hatch is really useful. Being able to throw 4 (or more) race tires in the back, or mountain bikes, or bales of pinestraw... is hard to beat.

i have both. both are great cars, but its like comparing apples and oranges. if you only have one car the ITR is better, but I would be hesitant about daily driving it. with all the thefts of ITR's I'd be afraid of where I left it. with the s2000 on the other hand usually the worst thing you have to worry about is getting your top slashed and seats stolen. as far as fun factor the s2000 is more fun, but the ITR is a good mix of practicality and fun. both are great cars and you can't go wrong with either of them.
1. A lot of groups running track events (e.g. BMW CCA) don't allow convertibles on track.
2. The ITR holds more stuff, whether it's track tires on the way to the track, or people and dogs, etc.
3. The ITR, with its FWD, is much better in winter conditions.
4. The ITR is less expensive (or was, when new).
The S2000 is a fun car with great performance, but I already have a car like that in my garage, and it's one that they allow on track.
