I'm thinking about getting some lighter fenders. I know a guy who does good, cheap paint work. In my opinion spending ~$300 to lose some pounds and gain some style isn't such a bad idea.
I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations or advice on this.
Any horror stories with fitment?
Is the weight anything close to substantial?
thanks

Worthless. If you are looking to spend money to have a light weight fender, I would advise against it. Steel fenders weigh nothing to begin with. A fiberglass or carbon fender weighs the same or more. They are more for looks.
I only say this because from your sig it looks like you have an EK.
I would get a carbon hood before fenders if you don't have one already. That will net you a better weight loss. Same with the trunk.

Word.
I have an EJ8 but in the front it's all the same i'm sure.
I hear that a carbon fiber hood only nets you 13lbs
Guess i could save ~$500-$700 and just remove my back seats.
