Whats up guys. I have a 1.5 DPFI

Sometimes when im driving it just shuts off. I have a full tank of gas, no loose connections, or anything like that.

The car wont start unless i turn the key all the way off and then back on and it will start with no probs.

Maybe a bad pump or something. Im lost as of right now

 

pump,ignition switch,main relay?

 

are you getting any cel's?


what he said is what id check, i would also check your fuel filter, when was the last time it was replaced?

Does it crank on the first shot? Sounds like you have to prime it 2 times for it to get fuel. Whats the fuel pressure read when key is turned once?? What the pressure when key is turned twice??

Could be fuel pump but have to check it first

 

Dont know what the feul pressure is.. It will start the first time no probs.

I guess ill have to buy a cheap fp guage. But yea i have to prime it before it will start. And when it does start itll go about 10 feet and shut off again. About three or four times later it will run fine.

Im thinking that it could be the pump, but it wouldnt keep running.... or maybe the fuel filter is clogged??????

Ive been trying everything to not pull the pump but nothing is working so far....
