PowderCoating Stainless Steel
Hi,
I bought an X-Bar and it's Brushed Stainless Steel (304).
Is it possible to PowderCoat it and it not turn to crap?
I read it's possible, but risky, only thing I could find...
So has anyone here had any luck Powdercoating Stainless?
Thanks!

we have a couple parts here at work that require a powdercoat over stainless steel. we don't have issues with the appearance of the powdercoat but the adhesion of the powder to the metal. we have found a coarce grit grain or orbital finish helps give the powder something to hold to. with the Xbar being an interior piece i don't see any real issue with powdercoating this. if this was an under chassis or suspension component i wouldn't recommend it.
I was figuring the problem would be the adhesion as well, true it is an interior piece, but I didn't want to waste the money powdercoating it, if it was just going to peel off heh.
