Like the topic says... it is official! Sucks my dealer isnt getting one cause they dont want it cause they think it wont sell. But that is what they thought on the Si in general and we cant keep em in stock.

 

People already have spotted them on the streets weeks ago.

 

our dealership is getting one and i believe one of the salesman already purchased it.

total waste of money if you ask me.

How is that when Honda announced to it's dealers (on the dealer site) that they are shipping this week? Hmmm I have been a tech at honda for a while and I have never seen them selling cars before they ship...

Well if Honda is driving one around or if they give RJ one or something, yeah I understand, but you cant "download" a pirated version and drive it around! The way it works is Honda makes the cars, they transport them to the dealers, and the dealers sell to the public. There is no hanging out behind the plant cause ya "know" someone and they sneak you one out the back door!

X that isnt a personal car. It was one loaned out for a magazine so it could do its write up/review of the car.

if you look at the back it looks to be a paper temp tag vs physical plate.
When people test cars they are already registered.

I know the guy SAID he was some magazine tester but I think he was bsing the clown on 8th that was standing outside his home with a camera phone taking pictures of his car.

I heard the same thing about one per dealer... maybe Gunn Honda talked some other local dealerships out of their cars, for a fee of course.

very possible... but if i was said dealership i would charge Gunn Honda out the **** for the mugens, cuz thats what Gunn is gonna do. Ours is already sold but the salesguy went to our new dealership across town... hmmm i wonder

 

I know there are cases where dealership owners and the higher-ups can get a car 'early'. It's not really early, but typically one of the first ones delivered and thus people freak out. It just rarely happens because there aren't many cars that get that attention.

The GENERAL MANAGER being misinformed. Wow.

Well that came from HIS mouth so i'm just going by that.

 

Yeah i just talked to our Internet Mgr and he said they are only releasing 1000 for the first run and that since there is more than 1000 honda dealers in USA that he really doubts that 1 dealership would get 4. I guess we will find out eventually

Certainly possible...Gunn Honda sells cars like candy. They'll easily pump out over 300 in a month. Not alot of dealerships can make that claim. So maybe they decided to allocate more to them since they sell soo much.

Honestly i'm not sure though. I could be wrong! Maybe they meant 4 total from ALL the combined releases.

 

we sell close to that here in vegas. If thats the case we should get more...and we have won the presidents award like 6 times in a row now!

Move to NY & NJ.
When i bought my Element from open road honda in edison NJ they moved 56 cars in one day.

I think your source at "gunn" is bogus.
