i have a 92 civic and my pedal sinks all the way down to the the floor. i put new brakes on last week and the pedal still sunk but then it stoped and worked fine. but this morning it started doing it again so im kinda thinkin i might have to bleed them but if that doesnt work then what you guys think is the prob

 

that or your brake master cylinder could be on its way out

 

It's clear pressure is being lost somewhere. A seal could be worn out, or like probot said, the MC could be dying/dead.

That's NOT the conclusion you should jump to...start with the simple and most likely things...

@ OP:

Squishy pedal means there's air in the lines, now you shouldn't have to remove the brake lines to do rotors and pads, but if you did the wheel cylinders (drums) then you obviously had to disconnect them so there's your problem.

Bleed whatever you disconnected - and you'll be fine.

I would use a vacuum bleeder...but I guess a wrench and 2 pple works fine too...

If you completely bleed it (and you're sure it's 100% bleeded), then, and only then, would I start looking at the master cylinder.

wasnt jumping to any conclusions chief - the OP stated he was going to try bleeding the system again..if there is no air in the lines and no leaks and there is no pressure i think i can say that its more than likely the MC
