Default warranty question?

watsup guys, ive had my civic for about 10 months now and have just done exterior mods. i was wondering about engine mods. ie. Intake? i heard it voids the warranty and im just wonderin, about you guys with engine mods. ur warranty is void?

from what i know, if you've replaced your headunit and you have a wiring problem, honda will void your warranty because you have an aftermarket headunit, the same works with an intake, for example - they will say that because you have an intake, your engine blew, or whatever.

if you're really worried about your warranty, keep it stock. most of us here don't care about that because we can fix whatever goes wrong with the car... if not we can pay to do it and not get the runaround from honda since that's what they are known for.

yeah thanks, i know a little bit about engines but not all that much as people on this site do, i cant do much about fixing the things that go wrong..do you think there is any way i could get an intake, an just take it off wen it goes into the shop for repairs?

yes, many people do that, put everything back to how it was, then take it in...i haven't heard of many people needing to go for honda except for transmission troubles and most of the time they blame it on "wear and tear"...

i think you'll be fine, just know that the intake will only give you sound and no performance gains...

If ur worried about ur warranty dony mess with anything. Wait till the warranties up because any aftermarket modification they will try to void the repair

o no, im not really looking for anymore performance, the engines like a little bitch anways...d17 sucks, im just looking for better sound

the only warantee work ive had to do is airbags. no complaints despite my interior mods.

still prolly best if you wait to modify if your worried about voiding your warrantee.

I'm pretty sure i got a seven year 100 hundred thousand mile warrenty..........ON My powertranin i thing that went out when i lowered my car and i took it in for a new tranny lol spendin big buck on stock parts
