Default weird vibration..

I noticed something that I thought would be fixed after the clutch, fly wheel and motor mounts were changed.. When I drive at around 55 MPH and keep a steady pace the car vibrates.. Im usually in 5th gear when this happens.. Never tried it in other gears but its becoming annoying.. Anyone have the same problem or heard of something like it?

Oh when I press the clutch when the vibrating starts.. The vibrating goes away.. Then when i release and get back to about the same speed it comes back..

INNER CV Joint?????? Tire balance at that speed.

EDIT
Do you have an EGR Valve, unplug the vacuum hose and plug the hose with a twig.

Ok.. So I rotated and rebalanced my tires and it appears to be happening still. Anyone else have suggestions? It happens between 1500 and 2300 RPM...

Steering and suspension inspection for loose or worn items, steering rack tight in its mounts. Inspect the axles priot to replacement, grab the inner cv joints and shake them, one may feel much looser than the other, it will be the bad one, if they are even loose, if one is even your problem. Unplug the EGR valve vacuum hose and block it off, when people give you advice, do it and get back to the forum with your results, then more info will follow. All of this is assuming you dont have an engine misfire.

Now that you'll have mentioned about this problem. My car does the same thing at around about 40 mph. If i keep it constant, then the car vibrates from the engine up?? what is it??

Thats what we are trying to say, test before replace, shake the axles and see how they feel first please, near the joint. It still could be a steering component.

Look between the throttle shaft where the throttle cable rides on the linkage to rotate the throttle plate, there and between the valve cover, part of it has to be made out of cast iron so it should be all rusty, it has a round diaphram on top with a vacuum hose attached and possibaly a black square on top of that which would be the EGR position sensor so it will have an electrical connector on it, the hose may have the #16 on it???

Some engines do not have an EGR, Integra comes to mind and some that do, do not have the position sensor on top, just the diaphram and vacuum hose.

Did you check your wheel bearrings ? If your not getting any vibration while the car is parked and running/revving it, then i wouldnt mess with the egr. if u havent checked the bearrings its easy, u can jack up each corner and try to shake the rim while its still torqued down. if there is play in the rim. there is ur answer. i had this same prob and it had all the same symptoms ur speaking of... mine though had violent shaking at certain speeds and smooth as butter most of the time...turned out wheel bearring was shot ! sounds like u have narrowed it down urself though, rebalanced tires, new axles, etc.. goodluck and let us know what it ended up being

I understand your minimizing the EGR during driving, if 3 out of 4 EGR ports are clogged and an open EGR kills the one cylinder and the engine has weak motor mounts, I would expect some vibration, ultimetly like you, I believe that there is more to it also since the shaking seems so bad, but, many shudder problems have been found via disabling the EGR and it is worth a try since it seems the problem is happening around the speed that the EGR is being commanded on, although we are still trying to prove that this engine has an EGR since the owner does not know where it is. Hell it could kill two cylinders on a weak engine needing a tune up theoretically.

so a tune up could possible cure this weird vibration??...it seems like one of the pistons isn't working right...soo it's because of egr?? by the way you're saying it...it might be thatl...i don't think it's because of axles or bearings...

I think you may be making the vibration sound worse than it is, I dont know. We cant test drive the car for you, we need a very detailed explaination of your problem, thats the thing when we are trying to fix cars over the internet.

It has been a week since I asked about the EGR and still havent gotten you to look for it and troubleshoot or if your engine has one, some more help and more research on your part please.

here's the detailed version...whenever i'm driving at 40 mph constant, then the engine vibrates like one of the pistons is lagging or the fuel is lagging going into the engine. If u accelerate out of 40 mph, then this won't happen. It only happens at around 40 mph constant.
