I got a tranny the other day (old one was toast.) I opened the (newer) tranny, a cable YS1 to see if there was any extreem wear, everything looked beautiful the only wear i found (i think) was with 1 of the 2 "detent-spring-ball bearing-bolts"
had the ball bearing kind-of crushed into the top of the bolt. the other identical bolt had the ball bearing and spring seperate. anyway I put the tranny back together put it in my car and I am locked out of 4th gear. SO my Q? is did I put the tranny back together incorrectly? (I only took the case off, didn't mess with gears) or do i need a new "detent-spring-ball bearing-bolt"? or is this just a bad tranny?
