Default Lowered or Dropped 07 AWD Honda CR-V

Does anyone have any issues or feedbacks on lowering the new AWD honda CR-V? My brother just bought one and was wondering if it will effect anything if he lowered it about 1-1/2 inches. Thanks in advice and i've search but couldn't find the answer anymore. I've only came up with the older 1st gen ones. Thanks again

I guess some people still like to lower their cars. I've told him to leave it alone but he refused. Its on him though.

Come on people, i just want to know if it'll effect anything

That one is not awd and its on air runner. nothing at all wrong with lowering a car, i was just curious as to why buy a awd cr-v if it was to be lowered. on the non awd cr-v you can lower it with zero probs . hope someone can chime in about awd cr-v's

I think it look good, but i do agree with you about "why should you drop an awd car." but people have their own taste. I would leave it stock but my brother is goin for a decent look that hopefully wouldn't damage anything while daily driving.

So if dropped he'll only worry about vibration from the axles? Right?

</TD></TR></TABLE>i have had a stable of lowered Hondas over the past 16 years and never had a axle prob or vibration. some of them were "dumpt". maybe its diff on a awd car but I would think its ok to get springs for it. heck they are pretty cheap-if it doesnt work, take em off and sell em to me for my V

That should be fully driveable at that height. Turning sharp may have problem.

I am sure when the axles wear out there will be vibrations. An 1.5" drop is not very much to worry about. My 2nd gen is very low and has no vibrations.

2inches higher in the front and 3 in the bck would look right and the rake would approximate stock so less wind noise

wearing out axles is cheap compared with the gearbox wheel hubs and suspension

An inch and a half drop sounds tasteful. It's not too overboard. I'm on the border about the one pic posted, I guess just 'cuz it's different. The more I look at it though, the more I like it. As far as rubbing goes, with an inch and a half, you should still be able to DD it without having to worry about it.
