Default CEL codes 72 and 74..... any ideas?

Well the codes states that cylinders 2 and 4 are misfiring. I have searched and read some topics that poeple had with this problem. Some have chipped/broken valves, others had loose wires but was wondering if any other ideas are out there.
Please post up if anything that I should do. I bought some new plugs and still having the same problems. The rotor is new and plugs look fine. Wires are on tight. Inside the cap looks fine. Anything other suggestions before I need to take off the head and check which I want to be my last resort. Compression will be done tomorrow for sure.

New pistons and rings put in 300 miles ago. Everything was running fine for the couple of days and last night under normal driving conditions car suddenly drives like poop and these 2 CEL codes popped up.

Car runs/sounds like a WRX. Idles rough and sometimes dies because it idles so low. The motor/car shakes while in idle because of the misfiring. It drives real sluggish also.

You need those compression test results.

Check the injector clips as well.

A compression and/or leak down test will help.

Thanks for the replies guys. Just got the compression results and cylinders 1, 3, and 4, were okay at 200psi. bad news is the cylinder 2 has zero compression. any suggestions or any one ever experience this?

Sounds like this is gonna cost me. What could have caused this under normal driving conditions. Please posts suggestions/experiences.
