Hello,
Is the only difference between a 99-00 and 96, 97, 98 headlamp the amber color side markers? or is the mounting brackets different.

the 99-00 are shaped different from 96-98 so they arent interchangeable. If you want to use say 99-00 headlights on a 96-98 you will have to change your fenders, hood, grill and bumper.

 

the 96-98 headlights are different size from the 99-2000. think they're longer/wider, the 99-2000 grille is longer than the 96-98.
not sure about the mounting brackets, but i would assume they are different. they are not interchangable

 

I currently have amber LED side markers with projector headlights and clear side markers. like everyone said they are leaking and i need to replace them back to OEM lights. are there any decent headlights that are as sealed as OEM with clear side markers?

 

jdm sir headlights are all cleared out and they are oem.

For 99-00 or 96-98? eBay does have them. That is where I got the images from.

They look almost identical, shape-wise. Other than the amber side markers, they look the same to me. although the 99-00 do look longer, and curved a bit more. is there any other detail i'm missing?

I think he wants the '96-'98 SiR type headlights.

The point along the inside is much sharper on the '99-'00 and there is an angle at the top of the turn signal on the '99-'00, while there isn't on the '96-'98 turn signal (it's just round instead). Also, I do believe the '99-'00 headlight is longer along the bottom than the '96-'98 headlight.

i got me a pair of SiR lights from Password Jdm For $370 . . . it hurt my pocket but expletive i love these lights, especially the fact that it comes with city lights

 

i cheated on my 98 headlights for a 99-00 gunmetal ctr

 

whats the avarage price for a set of SiR 96-98 headlights?

You're going to have to start looking for them and check the prices. eBay listed that one set at $300 and LwdJdmR said PWJDM sells them for $370.
