I bought a new deck and wired it in with one of those harnesses you can buy anywhere. I am pretty sure I wire the power and everything right but when I turn on my headlights the face of the deck doesnt work. Like i cant change the volume or station or anything.

Any help would be great!

 

You probably have the dimming/ilumination wire hooked up wrong. What kind of stereo did you get? Its a useless wire and you can just cut it if you dont care about it dimming when your headlights come on.

 

I got a roadster brand from walmart...it plays dvds...ill go check the dimmer switch wire..
