Default Questions about CTR pistons and running stock ECU (B16 OBDII)

I'm in the process of putting my EM1 back to stock. It used to be turbo with all the jazz that comes along with. Long story short, I got busted for illegal stuff and getting rid of the turbo setup. Among the jazz I was running, I had PR4 pistons to help lower compression.

I've put everything back to stock now except for a few tasteful engine mods. I want to run the stock ECU in order to pass smog but I also want to replace the pistons with CTR ones instead of stock B16 pr3's.

My question, if you're still with me, is; will I be able to run the CTR pistons with the higher compression without a piggyback? I had Hondata on my p06 ecu with the turbo, but am selling it. I want to stick with the stock OBD II to pass the sniffer test.

Anyway, thanks for the response. I searched and found no helpful threads.

I would have to think no. If you are planning on keep EVERYTHING stock in theECU ut are going to try and run higher compression you may end up messing something up for lack of fuel/air.

I would say that you should be able to run the stock ecu for testing purposes. However I definately would keep the P06 (assuming it has been converted to VTEC) and get the car tuned after you get done with the smog stuff.
