distributor for propane
I am experimenting with propane conversions and need to replace the Accord distributor with either a mechanical distributor from a very early model (pre-electronic) or graft a set of points with cam lobes etc onto a late model distributor. Propane needs different timing specs to run at optimum and this will be a straight propane experiment. Does anyone know which years of distributors will interchange (never mind the computer). I plan or recurving the distributor advance etc.
My other concern is - will the lights and dash work with the injectors & fuel pump $ misc sensors disconnected? I plan on powering the new dist straight from the battery to bypass all the computer cr*p. Never mind the regulations - this is an experiment - my 3rd propane conversion.
I have a 1991 2.2 liter to work on now but may go to a later year. Any help would be appretiated - or contacts to those who have traveled this road.
thanks

holy smokes, maybe you should look into 4 cyl forktruck parts. I know you have probably thought of that. But thats is what you should do. modify toyota parts or mitsubishi.
