its prolly ur float in the tank....sometimes they get a hole in them and when u go to e all the way..than put fuel in they fill and stay at the bottom. for now just fill the tank and just reset ur travel adometer,u shoukld get like atleast 290 miles b4 next fill.

I just lol'd in class...people turned heads.
My CRX gauge doesn't work either. I just reset the odometer and fill at every 200 miles. I don't know the process of fixing it, but I heard its a PITA.

hey i think it has something to do with the guage electrical... i went to the junk yard a couple of times to take the gas guage and put it in my cluster but still it didn't work, so i eventually just got a whole cluster from the junk yard and swapped the whole cluster out, now it works
to test out the gauge you can disconnect the pump/sender harness on the fuel pump with the key on. if the gauge rises to full you know the gauge is ok and more then likely the sender on the pump is bad. the gauges use resistence from the sender to know where your fuel level is at. if the gauge does not move you more then likely need a cluster. simple check yet effective.
Hey with mine it only goes to full and half. Never goes to empty. I just fill up at 250 then i just reset. Its annoying but cheaper then buying a whole new cluster.

You should be able to find a used cluster for well under $50 bucks. I had a 89 crx and the gas gauge also didn't work. The guy I bought it from also said it was the cluster. I found a cluster on a local car forum for $10 but sold the car before I got around to buying it.

the problem is in the gas gauge and temp guage. the needle seizes up after 20 years. take you bezel off and use your finger and carefully move the needle it should move freely if not replace the gauge(temp/gas)
