which motor is better of the two for my 4th gen hatch b16a1 or a2

It really doesn't matter, most people will say that but if you want to be picky the a2.

a2 has better cams and higher compression pistons (10.2:1 to 10.4:1), and 170hp rating, plut obd1 i believe.

They're both great engines...a2 has better lost motion assemblies (supposedly) and more aggressive cams,plus higher comp and OBD1 which has better tunability than OBD0 especially for forced induction.BUT,some Type R LMA's,CTR cams,and CTR N1 crank pulley in a A1 would be pretty wicked!
