Default HELP!!!!!! 2001 - 2004 Civic Ex Auto Trannys.

I have a 2001 Civic EX auto tranny wondering if a 2003-2004 Civic EX AUTO tranny will fit. I have called a salvage yard from Massachusetts. I am from Texas the sales guy there says 2003-2004 Civic Ex Auto will not fit into an 2001 civic ex auto. Is that true? Ive done some research on this civicforums some people said it does but dont have any proofs it does. Can ya'll clarify if it works? Those guys up there in Massachusetts has one at a great price.

there is no difference from 2001-2005 trannies in both auto and manual cases. some say the 04-05 was strengthened a little to prevent the slipage the 01-03 expierenced but i doubt it..

can you confirm it? because, i have talked to this guy so many times and done my research. All I get from him that it will not fit for 01-02 but only for 03-05 model.

Part numbers and diagrams are identical between 2001 and 2005 Civic 5-speeds.

Any identical part numbers for autos? I already know that manual trannies work from researching on the civicforums. There's aint no hard evidence of identical for auto's. Please, help me guys I need a tranny. I dont want to pay for 01 tranny when its crap and more than an 03-05 models.

Since the mounting points are identical between the automatic and the manual, I don't see why you're asking the question. Plus, you could have looked up on Majestic Honda, as I did.

EDIT: Since you seem to be in "lazy mode".
