Just purchased a Del Sol to repair/restore and someone robbed the seats for another car. Any suggestions/recomendations/advice on what seats to purchase? Especially any advice on what won't work. Looking for race inspired styling, median price range

well any seat will work as long as you get seat rails that are made for the sol - umm, id say recaro's or bride as far as which brand to get but they are expensive - nice, but expensive

 

Just throw some OEM del sol seats back in. They are by far the most comfy seats I've had the pleasure of putting my butt in.

 

I am thinking of putting some leather gsr seats in mine.

 

They are a bit exspensive, but what about some S2K seats? I saw a pic of a sol w/those in there and it looked sick.

 

i've got a suggestion, it might be a bit of a stretch but it's what i did. i put a set of 2002 toyota celica gt seats in my sol. they set at the same height as the del sol seats and they feel great. only problem was that the mounting brackets weren't the same, but that was an easy fix.

 

OEM S2000 seats are where it's at. Comfy as hell...great support. The price though

 

s2k seats blow. you'll be sliding all over the place in them.

get some real bucket seats.

recaro spg, pole position etc.

 

stock del sol's. you'll find it hard to move later on, deending on where the seat belt latch is

 

i have s2000 seats in my del sol they are nice but be prepared to do a pan swap and you will need a long pair of hemostats for the side bolts that are under the leather on the side of the s2k seats its time consuming but after the first seat you will find the second one to be a blast

Just picked up some all black 97's because the stock eh/eg/ej seats dont hug me for **** and have a low back, which is killing my back

mm my best friends del sol VTEC came with leather seats... and they are damn comfy

 

well i cant tell you what to like but after siting in the s2k seats i dont think i would want to put delsol seats back in thats just me but thats also apart of being who you are im not saying there the best but its an option

 

Thanks for all the feedback. The S2000 seats look great. Ended up finding a set of torn Del Sol seats and had them recovered by the local upholstry shop in black synthetic leather. Less than $300 total, they look great. However dont jump in with shorts and and no shirt after the car has been sitting in the hot sun with the top off!!!!! ;-)
