Default Paint / Install question.

I have a 1996 prelude.
I recently purchased a kombat bodykit for my vehicle, can be seen here.
http://www.extremedimensions.com/947.html

First question is when I recieve it, what is the best plan of action for paint.
Should I primer it? then paint it? then clear coat it?
Could I just paint and clear coat etc.

Secondly, do I need to buy a spray gun or other materials,
or could I purchase spray paint, associated with my current paint code, and paint the kit using that, and then get clear coat spray paint * if there is such a thing *

What are your thoughts and ideas?

Secondly, do you have any pointers for installing it.
Will I be able to directly bolt this kit on to my vehicle, or will there be drilling, bending, flexing, or other modifying.

I'd appreciate any feedback, and instructions clearly demonstrating what can be done, what is out there, and how I should go about this if I want to tackle it myself

I appreciate all the advise guys!.

Firstly, body kits are a pain in the ***. What you need to do, is pre fit the body kit before painting it. Sometimes these kits are a nightmare and you need to do a bit of body work to get them to fit properly.

If you are painting it yourself, do it the right way. Do not spray paint the entire body kit. If you don't have the means of doing it the right way, take it to a shop. There is such a thing as clear coat in a spray can.

Most body kits (99%) need to be played with in order for a clean fit, so don't get frustrated

Okay so I just purchased the primer, paint, clear coat. Sand paper, sanding block, gas mask for the paint fumes and wide double sided tape.

What is the best way to fit the body kit, I know I will drill holes slightly smaller then the screws so the screws fit, is there an exact size matcher so I know how wide to drill the holes, also when will I have to use the double sided tape, should I just mount it around every piece going into the body, that way there is screws and bondo tape holding the body kit in tightly, or should I just tape the parts where there are no screws to hold it up.

let me know if you have any ideas.

Anybody else have any pointers? Can I use both, or just throw away the tape and use screws.

I'm recieving the kit this week hopefully, Any pointers with the preping before I go ahead and paint it.

I just hope everything relatively fits.

only concern is installing the front blinkers on the new front bumper will be difficult to say the least..

Plus I need to arrange the rear side lights to fit in the new rear bumper.

I should of just got a lip kit... so much easier I bet!.
