fuel pump question for b16a

Default fuel pump question for b16a

I am almost done with the swap in my 90 dx hatch....The qeustion is, is the stock intank fuel pump enough for the b16a, or should I go ahead and buy an aftermarket one?

TTT..........does anyone know if the stock fuel pump has enough flow for a b16a in my 90 civic dx????????

you should have no problem with your stock fuel pump - only if you're going boosted or nitrous should you have to worry about the fuel pump keeping up...

Yes, as said it flows just fine. Most Honda fuel pumps are pretty much the same capacity anyway. But the problem is that it wears the pump out faster. A few people are having their pumps die on them soon after they finish their swaps (myself included). It IS an old car, after all.

basicly any honda fuel pump will work. if you want to be cool like me get a stang 5.0L fuel pump then do a lot of fuel management b/c it'll flow too much stock

sounds good..........looks like I'm sticken with the stock till I upgrade all of the fuel system.........Thanks guys
