Default engine swap

i have a 4th gen hatch what is the best motor to swap into my hatch to push the most power and torque before turbo

well if you want torque you need displacement, h22 is nice for torque but its BIG and a lil heavier. and i dont like it too much its not worth the trouble to shoe-horn into the engine bay.

a crv-tec is a good choice. you use a CRV block and a b16 head. raises the compression alot though. but plenty of torque.

personally if money was no object and you want torque AND HP. do a k20a JDM type R motor, k series is the future.

Go B-18 they make alot of stuff for those motors and they're cheap, reliable and
swap in easy
