Default B Vs. K

Well, my buddy decided to upgrade from his '04 EP3 Si to an '07 4-Door Si...pretty clean car if I say so myself. Future mods for him are HFP axle-back (nothing too too loud, he already went through that on his EP3), moderate lowering springs, HFP lip kit, and a Comptech supercharger later on.

My future plans are to get an Element SC, then turbo my hatch

Anyways, impromptu photoshoot/quick race...I washed mine, he didn't (hence the dirtiness you may see in the pics).

Neither of us are professional photographers by any means, so take it easy

And the results from the races...

1st race was a 1st gear punch from 20mph...I jumped him right off the bat and when I looked down and was doing ~90ish I had 2-3 cars on him.

2nd race was the same...I gave him a 1-car length headstart...at the end of the race when I looked down and was doing ~90mph I had 1-2 car lengths on him.

'94 B18C1...

SRP 9.5:1 pistons
Eagle rods
ARP headstuds
Exedy clutch
Fidanza flywheel
I/H/E (will be changing my current axleback out for an '07 Si muffler I got from another H-T'er sooner or later)
Chipped P28 on Crome (phearable.net tuned)

I'm thinking it's the distributor, but for whatever reason my car redlines between 7K-7.5K (set to redline at 8.2K)...so I wasn't running 100%

I'll slap a turbo kit on it later, just can't afford it right now

I've heard rumors that they'll be opening back up (strictly rumors), but a bunch of vendors/sellers still have the kits. And if Comptech falls through, Jackson Racing has a whole new line-up for the K20 coming out

My only argument with the car was the engine bay itself...there's NO room to work with at all

That's about as dead on as I could find.

My advice on choosing between chrome/black would be between 2 things...

1) What color are your wheels? If they're gunmetal/black, then go with the black headlights...silver/white-ish, then go with chrome.

2) Are your windows tinted or no? Tinted up...black, not tinted up...chrome

bronze wheels and windows are not tinted. im liking the black look. i thought it would be ricey, but it acually flows very wheel. im thinking about these with a xenon depot HID kit

but im not so sure as to how the light output will be. are you running stock bulbs?
