Questions about rear disc conversion on EK (yes I've ready FAQ)
I am thinking of buy a front/rear 2001 GSR brakes
Front: Spindles, Calipers/etc, ABS Sensors/Wires, UCA, Brake Lines, Sway Bar (needs new end links)
Rear: Trailing Arm, Calipers/etc, ABS Sensors/Wires, UCA, Brake Lines, EBrake Cables, Rear Sway Bar
Brake Booster, Proportion Valve
I currently have a 1996 Honda Civic EX
I have some questions.
Are there any additional parts I need?
Will the rear sway bar rip my subframe apart?
Do I even need to swap the fronts? Are the GSR calipers better than the EX/SI?
Can I reuse my front sway bar? I notice when I drive hard and slam on the brakes while I hit a bump, the pedals vibrate as if something is loose, not exactly the ABS feel.
In the FAQ it says I need to hack up the ebrake cables grommet, can I avoid that?

Are there any additional parts I need? Larger master cylinder (Si 7/8" or 98-01 Integra 1"), and prop valve (from 99-00 Si or 96-00 HB).
Will the rear sway bar rip my subframe apart? GSR 14mm should be fine without reinforcement
Do I even need to swap the fronts? Are the GSR calipers better than the EX/SI? Just swap the calipers, Integra caliper pistons are larger
Can I reuse my front sway bar? I notice when I drive hard and slam on the brakes while I hit a bump, the pedals vibrate as if something is loose, not exactly the ABS feel. Yes, you can reuse your sway bar in the front
In the FAQ it says I need to hack up the ebrake cables grommet, can I avoid that? Not too sure what grommet it is talking about. If it is talking about the grommet between underneath the car and the cabin, your new ebrake cables should have the grommet and wouldn't need to hack it up.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks a lot, you helped quite a bit.
I thought the EX's MC is the same as the Si's?
If I swap the caliper, do I swap the bracket too?
Can I not use the prop valve from the GSR?

I thought the EX's MC is the same as the Si's? You are correct, I forgot
If I swap the caliper, do I swap the bracket too? Brackets should be the same

Oh one more question, about ABS for the rears? Can I hook those up and how? I don't think the FAQs mention about ABS.
