f22a1 to h22a swap in my 96 lude...need help
ok, the motor is obd 2 that i'm putting in...but it's also jdm...i've got it mechanically sound for the most part that i can figure out...but i'm not getting any spark...i'm using an obd2 usdm distributor with an msd blaster2 coil. obx spark wires. i converted the F harness to the motor, ran the v-tech wire, and the knock sensor wire, new computer(p5m) with the motor. but again, i'm not getting any spark. i've talked to many of my honda friends, one found that i'm probably gonna need to get a new obd2 usdm oil pump for the motor, because since the ckp sensor on the jdm is in the distributor, and i'm using the usdm distributor off of a friends h22a4, that there's no ckp sensor to relay back to the ecu to tell when to send spark, thus, no spark, it makes total sense to me, but is it 100% correct? also, any other tips or inputs on this swap? i've got a credit card to buy with, so that's not a problem, i just don't wanna keep having to buy parts if they're not needed ya know?...starting to get frustrated after 2 weeks at this swap. any info a.s.a.p. would be greatly appreciated...thanks...
ok, so i converted the harness even more...since the ckp/tdc sensor is in the dizzy, i found(forum about civics with h22 swaps) a wiring diagram to wire the sensors into the dizzy, now i'm getting spark, as far as how it said wire it, i did it...but now it sputters when trying to start, like it's not getting enough fuel...i jumped the wires that normally would go into the resistor box so the injectors have a constant since they're saturated instead of peak/hold...or at least from reading, i thought that's how i needed to do it...could it be something with me not having the intake air bypass hooked up? or no...totally at a loss, and i gotta get this car running...
