Default In the market...

I will start off my wholly agreeing I am a noob, with that said I am in the market to buy a car and have decided to look into Honda Civics, I like the look of the coupe and the 01'-05' model year fits my budget for buying a car best. I am purchasing the car outright so when I upgrade it I won't have a loan to worry about. Anyways I was looking for guidance when it comes to all the differences in the model itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If possible, avoid 2001 and 2002 models. Otherwise good luck.

Honda was working out it's growing pains for the first two years of 7th gen production. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the replies, what are the motor differences in models if any? I haven't really decided anything other than 01'-05' and a standard transmission.

US EX = Canadian Si

Get an 04 or 05.... wideband primary O2 = seamless kpro integration for boosting
It also seems that they did something to the transmission in 04, they seem to be a little better.

And seeing as I've had no factory-related problems on my '01, doesn't help your argument.

I love my 01 LX. I just wish there was a different motor than the D17A1 in it.

there is nothing hard about adding a sway bar to 01 dx/lx's. no real problems with my 02 here.
