a buddy of mine blew hiw d16y7 on his 96 hatch. he ordered a new motor from this one shop but sent hima zc motor. is this the same motor? i heard something like the zc motor being same as one of those d16 or d15 motors.

 

Yes a ob2 ZC is the same, i work at a quick lube we have about four or five eks that come in with ZC stamped on the block, same thing as a y7. Being a EF guy i had alot of questions for them, and they say its the cheapest thing to replace a y7 if ur looking for low miles.
