Default in the market for 3.2 cl type s

I've been having too many problems with my 98 accord, so i've been considering upgrading to an Acura. I have been considering either the 01-up 3.2 cl or tl, type s, somewhere between 50-70k miles. From reading these forums, the transmission issue has been brought up alot, not only for this car but honda's and acura's in general, because I don't want to get a car that has a known tranny defect or something, because I don't have the time or money to deal with headaches. If you guys with these cars or if you know anything about the cars, can give me some insight about how this car is overall, I will really appreciate it.

Get a 02 or 03 with under 109k and you're covered by the dealer. The 01s are about to be out of warranty since its almost been 7 years.

03 cars are a case by case basis, not all of them are covered. run the VIN past the local Acura dealer before you buy it to see if it is covered.

I have had my CL type S for quite some time and the only thing I had to replace was lower ball joints. Called Acura and asked them why should I be replacing them at 45K on the car and got reimbursed.
