Default question about a zc motor

a buddy of mine blew hiw d16y7 on his 96 hatch. he ordered a new motor from this one shop but sent hima zc motor. is this the same motor? i heard something like the zc motor being same as one of those d16 or d15 motors.

you posted almost the same question twice...
dohc zc is like the d16a8 i think
sohc zc non vtec is like the d16a6 with more power
sohc zc vtec is like the d16z6

also i think the sohc zc's came in obd2 as well.
