Default Which engine in my hatch EK?

To all, maybe you guys can give me good advice on which motor to swap into my 96 hatch. I'ts gonna be a daily driver, at least run mid 13's, good with basic bolt ons etc...let me know, I'd appreciate it!

How much do you wana spend?? There are a lot of options. Turbo or all motor?? With a b16 swap and moderate boost you can exceed your goal of mid 13s. With a good tune, gas milage wont suffer either. Do some research and thinking and decide which setup would fit you best!

Starting off I would have to guess that he is looking to build a all motor car being where he posted. I do not normally respond to these posts as they are generally a waste of time but here goes.

I would try to find a FULL SWAP possibly a jdm b16 lsd swap from h-motors. Put that in and learn a little about your car. Do some maintenance get the suspension and brakes up to par and working good. Next I would source a B20 short block and build that with some arp fasteners and some cast after market pistons (rs/spark) bingo you have a car that will run 13's and you wont die driving it.

If yall want sum decent power from that lacky D-series motor...
Upgrade from entry level which would be:
B16A...then add basics...Maximized the full potential of the motor then when you man up..B18C5..
You'll know when you get here.
