tranny question (have searched)

Default tranny question (have searched)

there any way to tell exactly what year i have. is there anywhere i can input the number on the gold sticker to decipher the year. i know for a fact its a 88-89 si tranny but i need to know exactly because arent the spline counts diff on both?

88: 21 splines

89-91: 20 splines

you sure its not the other way around? i thought the 88 had 21 and the 89-91 had 20?

but that wasnt my main concern i need to know is it 88 or 89 without taking it off, its my dd. it still has the serial # sticker, is there anyway to decipher it?

There's no way to tell the year unless you take it off and count the number of splines. The serial # doesn't contain any of that info.
