what should i look for when i'm buying a used b16a head? anything to take note of?

 

take the valve cover off and inspect the internals

Alot of **** is fucked up on the internet so make so that you trust that person because it may not looked fucked up but when you take it to your builder he may tell you a vavle or some **** is bent

besure to check that all valves are closed, not sticking out or anything..

 

Make sure the cam caps are included and match the head. ALso measure the warpage and head thickness. I do not have the specs at the moment.

 

1.caps came with the head originally

2.no bent valves(unless you plan on replacing them)

3.no cracks in head casting

4.combustion chambers are not banged up from a possible dropped valve
