Well, finally had some free time to clean up my bike and take some pictures. Hopefully I'll get some more time to take some pic's outside my garage.

Looks good! What kind of front air dam is on the TL?

Black must be hard to keep clean.

black 999 has been haunting my dreams recently... Specially with the prices coming down with the 1098 being out. Maybe in a couple years...

couple things you should think about when buying a 999:
an 05+ for the box swingarm and the deep sump motor that puts a few more hp. also, try not to buy a duc that will be up for any tune up soon (600 miles: $350-500, 6000 miles: $750-1500, 12000 miles $1500-2500).

Are those window-rain things really useful? I hear they're windy as heck.

i'm the kinda of person that needs to have the windows cracked open in a car all the time to have fresh air coming in. so when it rains i have the windows cracked open and the visors workout great. i think i might be a little claustrophobic, cause i even have the windows cracked open during the winter when i have the heater running.

as for noise i've never really paid any attention to it so i can't comment. maybe later when i drive somewhere i can give you a little more info.

i just put my downpayment on an 848 last week. i'm gonna turn that into my track bike, and hopefully in two years pick up an 1098r when my girl finishes school.

Kink Freebird... Parts list is ridiculous, so I'll leave it as saying the only things left from the original bike (started life as a Specialized Vegas) are the stem and the front wheel.

I love old freestyle bikes, especially the ones I couldn't afford when I was a kid. 8 months ago I had a Hutch Trickstar and Windstyler, Avent Morpheus Pro XL and Pro Cruiser, Felt Pro Cruiser, and GT Power Series Pro XL. I sold all of them and just kept the GT Performer because it was the first freestyle bike my parents ever bought me. I understand exactly what you're talking about when it comes to parts for bikes. I always wanted to build an all original Hutch Trickstar w/ Hutch Aerospeed cranks, but couldn't legitimize spending $2000 on a set of cranks. I'll try and find pictures of my Trickstar and post it up on here.

My bike's only like 3 years old, hardly "vintage"... I've never even heard of most of those.
