Default Do you feel safe when you drive your s2k?

I'm considering purchasing a S2k. I previously had a turbocharged ITR that was sold two years ago, and I still have a 01 LS right now as a back up car. The dimensions of the s2k seem relatively small and I was wondering if you s2k owners had any information on how safe the car is. Do you feel safe when you drive it? I'm not looking to buy the safest car but I want a car that is relatively safe.
I read an article on forbes rating the s2k as one of the least safe cars. I don't know if there's any credibility to it because it mentioned something about the s2k not having side curtain airbags. But my 01 LS integra doesn't have side curtain airbags or side airbags even. Please feel free to vote.

The car is built very solid and rigid as it is a convertible. It has crumple zones and airbags.

I feel as safe in it as I did in my 00 Civic Si and that car protected me from a headon collision with a Chev Celebrity It gave its life for me but in the end it is just a car and I did not have any long term injuries.

So yes I do plus the S2000 is extremly agile if your a very defensive driver you can avoid a lot accidents It has awesome brakes and really responsive steering.

you have nothing to worry about! I feel safer in the S than my other cars because it reacts quicker, so if theres something that needs to be avoided, a defensive driver can easily avoid accidents.

i felt 100% safer in my s2k than the integra i have now.

Any imperfection on the road throws my steering wheel around in my integra and i get pushed around the road, but with the s2k i felt like i had a solid path on the roads. It just feels a lot more solid than the integra.

Here is some proof for you. I flipped this car twice with the top down and walked away unscathed.

Here are pics and video of the accident.

Yeah because a couple of aluminum tubes and some fabric would make all the difference in the world

The whole forbes review about the s2k being the least safest was bs. The s2k has five star crash test rating for front and side impact. Also it has a good rating for roll over saftey the only reason forbes said what they did is because the lack of side curtain airbags.

GAAAAAAAH!! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. Well...I dont feel unsafe. Just very angry. Then I cry a little. The truck population is about 99% douche bag.

I feel like I can avoid an accident easier in the S... but if I get hit it's going to hurt.

I just ride top down with no seatbelt. If something happens I get thrown free of the car.

After reconstructing the accident, all my friends and family think me or my passenger would have died if the top was up due to the top frame collapsing.
